Game 7 vs. Mildmay Pee Wee
The Walkerton Capitals would host the visiting team from Mildmay on July 8, 2018.  Again the game would feature some great defensive play and timely hitting that would be the key to another successful outing for the Pee Wee #2 team.

Walkerton would send pitcher Ethan Garland out to face the Mildmay batters.  The first batter would single and eventually make it to third before the side would be retired.  In the bottom of the inning Walkerton’s Connor McIntosh would walk with 1 out and would steal second and third base before coming home on a hard single up the middle from Parker Elphick.  Parker would steal second and third before Ethan Garland would hit into a fielders choice play and while he was out at first base he would bring in another runner from third.  Walkerton would lead 2-0 after the completion of the first inning.

The second inning would see Mildmay send six batters to face the Walkerton pitching.  Mildmay would score one run and leave two runners on base as the top half of the inning concluded.  In the bottom half of the inning Xander Thornton would lead things off with a single and would steal second base after a passed ball.  Ethan Smith would single to put runners on the corners with 1 out.  Riley Harris would send both runners home when his hard line drive sailed into left field before he came into third with a stand up triple.  Lukas Watke would then single to bring home a run.  Cayleb Peitz would double to bring in the runner.  Next batter Ryan Hinsperger would walk and both runners would advance on a passed ball.  Cayleb would come home on a passed ball and Ryan would advance after attempting to steal second base, the catchers throw would sail into centre field, Ryan would then continue home and score the sixth run of the inning.

In the top of the sixth inning Lukas Watke would come in as the closer for the Capitals.  Mildmay would eventually score three runs after sending a total of eight batters to the plate.  The Capitals would not be required to take to the field in the bottom half of the inning.
