Ball Season is Coming
Submitted By Mike Klein on Tuesday, April 18, 2017
We are getting closer to the start of the 2017 ball season.  The renovating on the ball diamonds has started and should be done to have the diamonds will be ready for early May.

However we still have some items to take care of from an executive standpoint.

We still require some coaches for a few age groups.  We need coaches for the following teams:

-        Major Rookie (1 head coach required)

-        Minor Rookie (2 head coaches required)

-        T Ball (2 head coaches required)

Also if you are planning on helping be an assistant coach this year, you will be required to meet the requirements set out by the WOBA.  For details on this check out the link from our website for WOBA coaching requirements.  There is still time to meet these requirements.

We also are looking for some more Mosquito aged boys born in 2006 and 2007, we do have three teams for this age group but only 10 on a team which is tight but better than 2 teams of 15.  If you know anyone interested please have them contact me.

Also just a reminder that for this season players in Mosquito, Peewee Boys and Bantam Boys need to purchase their own grey pants, and the girls in Peewee and Bantam need to purchase blue pants which are available at Joys in Walkerton.

As for Diamond times we have done our very best this season to fit in all the diamond times for every team, it was very difficult as we have 10 Boys Baseball teams and 7 Girls Softball teams, this does not include the 4 T Ball and 4 Minor Rookie teams which will be using Lobbies Park.  There will be some home games for Mosquito, Peewee Boys and Bantam Boy’s on Sunday nights, and possibly Major Rookie,  but they will be shared so no one team will have to play all their games on Sunday night.

Thank You,
