Game 4 vs Flesherton Rangers Majors
The Walkerton Capitals would play host to the Flesherton Rangers Team on Thursday, June 15th.    The Ranges lead the WOBA with 113 runs scored already this year.  So the hard hitting team would be yet another tough challenge for the Capitals.

Walkerton would send Talan Hope to pitch against the Majors in his first outing of the year.  Flesherton would send six players to the plate in the top of the inning and would tally a single run before the final batter was struck out.  The bottom half Walkerton would send four batters to face the Flesherton pitching.  Jake Wells would single and then steal second and third but would be stranded there as the side was retired.

The second inning and Talan would face four batters giving up only a single before his third strike out at the frame.  The Capitals would come out quickly in the bottom of the second Ethan Rogers would single and steal second and third.  Talan Hope would triple brining Ethan around from third.  Carson Filsinger would single which brought Talan in from third.  As the inning came to an end the Walkerton Capitals would lead 2-1.

The top of the third had the Flesherton Ranges send four to the plate but again the only runner to safely reach base would be stranded there as the inning came to an end.  In the bottom of the inning the Capital bats would again be busy. Carson Baglole would lead off the top of the order with a single and then steal second.  Jake Wells would single advancing Carson to third.  Connor McIntosh would single but Jake would be stopped at second base in a fielders choice play.  Connor would then come home when Ethan Rogers would hit a double down the line.  Talan Hope would walk and then steal second before the final out of the inning.

Carson Filsinger would take over the pitching duties and continue with a strong pitching performance.  The Rangers would, however, score two runs in the fourth to cut into the Walkerton lead.  The bottom of the inning was a three up three down for the Capitals but they would still lead 4-3 after four innings.

The Rangers would again be active in the fifth inning and add another single run.  In the bottom half of the inning Jake Wells would be hit by a pitch and take first base.  Connor McIntosh would then double.  AJ Wells would be next to bat and he to would double.  Connor would be thrown out at home as a through was right on the money.  AJ would be left stranded at second base as the inning came to an end.

Connor and AJ would share pitching duties in the sixth inning and together they would limit the Rangers to a single run.  The Capitals would come to bat in the bottom of the sixth and lead off batter Talan Hope would be hit by a pitch and was awarded first base.  Talan would then steal second and be driven home when Matthew McNaughton hit a looping single into shallow outfield.  Matthew would then steal second and third but would be stranded there as the next three batters would strike out, fly out and strike out.

The game would go to a seventh inning and the Rangers would work hard at the plate.  They would send seven players to bat but again when all was said and done they would be limited to a single run as their inning came to a conclusion.  AJ Wells continued his strong pitching performance in relief.  The bottom of the inning had Carson Baglole start off with a hard single.  Then with one out Connor McIntosh came to bat that brought the speedy Carson home from first.  That single run would give the Capitals a hard fought won.  The two teams played great ball from the opening pitch until the final hit.  The defence made great work of controlling hit balls and great throwing by the fielders limited scoring opportunities.  Another great game for the crowd watching.  The Capitals would put the Rangers win streak on hold as they added another win to their own streak.
